A three-year project started September 2006 on the development of computational procedures to evaluate the likely effectiveness of a variety of proposed surgical treatments for presbyopia. This project will build on a previous pilot study of the mechanics of lens-refilling procedures. It will also involve the further development of numerical modelling procedures for the accommodation mechanism in the natural eye.
