• Hydraulic pumps and an accumulator system which is capable of delivering a flow of approximately 150 litres per minute of high pressure oil to power hydraulic actuators
• 6 Instron hydraulic actuators, 2 each with capacity 10kN, 100kN and 250kN
• Control and datalogging equipment

• A large sand chamber 1m in diameter and 1.5m high, with the capability of applying independently vertical and horizontal stresses up to 150kPa
• A small sand chamber 0.45m in diameter and 0.45m high, with the capability of applying independently vertical and horizontal stresses up to 500kPa
• A large clay chamber 1m in diameter and 1m high, with the capability of applying independently vertical and horizontal stresses up to 600kPa
